Breaking News: Two US Soldiers Stationed in Jordan Killed, 1 Missing

The U.S. Central Command announced on Saturday (July 18) that two American soldiers stationed in Jordan were killed in repelling an attack from Iran. Additionally, one American soldier is currently missing.

CENTCOM released a statement on social media platform X, stating, “On July 17, CENTCOM along with allied forces were engaged in repelling Iranian ballistic missile and drone attacks, resulting in the deaths of two American soldiers stationed in Jordan. One soldier is still missing.”

“Four American soldiers were evacuated to a hospital in Jordan for treatment and have since been discharged. Other personnel who sustained minor injuries have also returned to their posts,” the statement said.

The statement further added, “Out of respect for the families, CENTCOM will wait 24 hours after notifying the families of the deceased soldiers before releasing more information, including the identity of the fallen soldiers.”
