According to the Xinhua News Agency, on the morning of July 17th, a landslide took place along the Wujiang River in Hanjia Street, Pengshui County, Chongqing. Several residential buildings were buried, and individuals were trapped.
Video footage shows a haze of dust rising at the scene as people scramble to flee.
Later on, officials reported that they had successfully rescued 7 trapped individuals from the site. However, the number of people still trapped or injured remains unknown at this time.
