Mount Shasta, the fifth tallest peak in California, is known for its magnificent mountain views and serene forests. However, in June of this year, mysterious low and eerie noises echoed deep in the mountains. A woman and her family riding horses stumbled upon hundreds of solar-powered Bluetooth speakers scattered across the hillside, with packaging boxes inscribed in Chinese. Some played piercing white noise while others repeatedly broadcast religious recordings.
Karrie Ann Snure and her daughter Jordan discovered these strange devices while riding along Highway 97 in Weed, capturing the experience in a video shared on Facebook, sparking a heated discussion online.
It is estimated that there are about 100 to 200 of these speakers. Snure checked OnX maps and confirmed that they were located on private land adjacent to California government land. The actual purpose of these speakers remains unknown.
Snure recalled being drawn by a sharp screeching noise, leading them to investigate and finding themselves in a bush littered with uniquely shaped sound-emitting devices, creating an “ocean of speakers” in density.
These solar-powered Bluetooth speakers were buried in the ground, with only part of their bodies exposed. When all devices played simultaneously, the intertwined sounds ranged between noise and screams. Most speakers continuously played white noise, while a few played religious preaching recordings, repeatedly featuring human voices and even mentioning the word “redemption.”
She picked up a packaging box inscribed with Chinese characters reading “solar lotus player.”
Snure described the experience as peculiar, stating, “There are no houses for miles around, and there is nothing to drive away, so I guess it must be summoning something.”
“I think it sounds like white noise because all speakers play the same content. But when the sounds mix without synchronization, it sounds like noise,” Snure mentioned in a subsequent video, adding, “The individually placed speakers seemed to have human voices repeating certain phrases.”
“This scene feels like an apocalyptic sight,” she said, “as if someone is summoning something mysterious here.”
She speculated that these mysterious devices may be related to the legendary “Lemurian beacon system.” According to legend, hidden deep within Mount Shasta lies an underground city inhabited by the descendants of the survivors of the lost continent of Lemuria.
Legend has it that Mount Shasta harbors a complex labyrinth of tunnels leading to the underground castle of the Lemurian people called “Telos.” It is said that the Lemurians possessed technology beyond human capabilities, enabling them to traverse different dimensions and communicate with extraterrestrial life.
Mount Shasta is also steeped in many mysterious stories, including Native American deities, Bigfoot sightings, and UFO encounters.
Internet users have put forward various speculations about these mysterious speakers. Some believe that the creators may be trying to attract Bigfoot sightings, while others speculate that it may be related to “cult activities” or warding off wolf packs. Some others suggest that these devices might be used by illegal marijuana growers as a defense system against outsiders.
