Motorcycle stunt show in Zhuhai goes wrong, crashes into audience area injuring several people

Recently, a motorcycle stunt show at the Chimelong Airship Theme Park in Zhuhai, Guangdong, China, went awry as a motorcycle crashed into the audience area, knocking down multiple people. Witnesses reported that children were among the injured.

On April 23, a video of the motorcycle stunt mishap, which resulted in multiple people being knocked down, went viral online. The video shows two individuals performing motorcycle stunts, with the motorcycle circling the venue before the rider lost control and veered into the audience area, causing the accident. The footage captured at least two individuals sitting on the ground, presumably injured.

According to the organizer, the incident took place on the afternoon of the 22nd at the Chimelong Airship Theme Park in Zhuhai. Following the incident, staff members were seen carrying away children who appeared to be injured.

Comments from online users in the video section mentioned, “A little girl in a yellow shirt was hit, along with an adult.”

Some netizens criticized the safety precautions, noting that only a single rope was used as a warning line for such a mobile event, deeming it too unsafe.

Reported by Jiemu News, park personnel responded by stating that medical staff promptly arrived at the scene, examined the children to ensure their well-being, and offered appropriate gifts as a gesture of apology to the children. Currently, the motorcycle shows have been temporarily suspended.

Officials from the Hengqin Guangdong-Macau Deep Cooperation Zone Commercial Service Bureau have acknowledged the incident and pledged to oversee an investigation by relevant departments.
