The latest news indicates that a central-level organization, which has never been officially announced by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), is secretly operating. This organization is known as the “Central Leading Group for Social Governance Work” and is chaired by Politburo Standing Committee member Cai Qi. The group spans across various power systems including united front work, propaganda, political and legal affairs, as well as reform. Analysts believe that this move is due to the CCP’s concerns about political instability, leading to further tightening control over society.
Meanwhile, a dissident named Sun Yuanping, who had been under CCP surveillance for seven years, managed to escape from China in July this year. It has raised concerns as even though he has reached Australia, the CCP’s pursuit has not ceased. He mentioned that several friends have been implicated, with four of them being criminally detained. The police have also sent messages through his family, warning him not to speak out overseas.
Furthermore, Germany recently uncovered a rare case of nationality fraud. 32 Chinese immigrants are suspected of forging family histories, pretending to be descendants of Nazi victims, with approximately half of them successfully obtaining German citizenship. Surprisingly, it was not the German police but the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in the United States that uncovered this case.
