Wednesday Designated as “Wearing Blue and Orange Clothes Day” by Mamdani

New York Mayor Mamdani’s office announced on the 9th that in tribute to the Eastern Conference champions, the New York Knicks, June 10th (Wednesday) will be “Wear Blue and Orange Day” for the city government departments and public schools to show support for the New York Knicks. Students, teachers, and city employees are invited to wear blue and orange clothing before the fourth game of the NBA Finals.

The Eastern Conference champions, the New York Knicks (NY Knicks), have always worn blue, white, and orange jerseys in their team history. These colors are in homage to the official colors of New York City.

“There is nothing that represents ‘Go Knicks’ better than the blue and orange colors,” said Mayor Mamdani. “As the Knicks continue to make history, we invite New Yorkers to showcase our pride, wear the colors of this city, and support this team that unites the entire New York.”

The Knicks will face the San Antonio Spurs at Madison Square Garden tonight (Wednesday) in the fourth game of the NBA Finals. Currently, the New York Knicks lead 2-1.
