Time passes by like flowing water,
In the blink of an eye, a new year has arrived.
Looking back thirty-two years ago,
The compassionate and great Master,
First brought the cosmic law to the human world.
Carrying the anticipation of all things in heaven and earth,
And the centuries of waiting by sentient beings,
Your compassionate voice echoes in our ears,
Revealing the mysteries and celestial secrets unknown to humankind.
The layers of heavens on the brink of destruction,
Finally welcomed a new hope.
Life bathed in the light of the law became fragrant and dazzling,
Like a helpless little boat in the pitch-black sea finding guidance from a lighthouse;
Or like a thirsty traveler in a scorching desert tasting clear spring water;
More so like withered crops in a parched field receiving the nourishment of rain and dew.
For thirty-two years,
In order for all sentient beings to return to their true selves and ancient homeland,
You have cleansed disciples of impurities and dust time and time again;
For these vast heavens to regain their brightness and undergo transformation,
You have borne karmic debts and endured great tribulations for beings time and time again.
In the chaotic end of the era, with gods and humans coexisting,
The gate to the new universe is wide open,
The Dharma boat of return is about to set sail;
Through the baptism of fire and the sifting of sands in great waves,
It is the final test for true cultivators,
Only with unwavering determination and steadfast righteous thoughts,
Can one not disappoint your compassionate grace,
And not squander this rare opportunity of tens of thousands of years.
The New Year’s bell rings gently,
Practitioners of the Great Law express gratitude with palms together,
Gratefully thanking you for your boundless compassion and salvation.
In the new year, disciples will seize every moment,
Fulfilling the divine mission, honoring the pledge of past lives, and spreading the truth of salvation across the four oceans.
A new beginning, with all things renewed,
Universal celebrations, joy amongst all beings.
The dawn of the new universe shines upon the sky,
The profound and boundless wonders of the Great Law.
Let us together, forge good karma and steadfast righteous thoughts,
Spread the beauty of the Dharma Wheel Law throughout the divine land,
Let the radiance of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance illuminate the world!
