Liu Xiaoqing sues gossip blogger, accused of private chat and voice communication.

Chinese Actress Liu Xiaoqing is reportedly taking legal action against entertainment gossip blogger “Gossip Yangyang” (real name: Deng Yangyang) over privacy issues. The news has been circulating on social media platforms recently, with Deng Yangyang having publicly disclosed the relevant legal documents of the lawsuit, awaiting further developments in the case.

With 3.24 million followers, the popular entertainment blogger and Weibo user “Miss Duan Is Here” revealed on October 13th that Liu Xiaoqing has sued “Gossip Yangyang” over a privacy dispute.

Deng Yangyang had reportedly shared private WeChat chat records and intimate voice messages between Liu Xiaoqing and her male photography assistant, Gu Ke. These contents were deemed as private conversations, leading Liu Xiaoqing to file a lawsuit based on privacy rights violation.

“Gossip Yangyang” is a prominent gossip blogger in the entertainment industry, known for being active in revealing celebrity secrets. Operating core accounts such as “Super Photographer Yangyang” and “Star Entertainment Diary Yangyang,” he claims to be a disciple of a prominent figure. He has previously exposed private information of numerous celebrities, including Liu Xiaoqing.

On October 13th, the account “Star Entertainment Diary Yangyang” shared the legal documents related to the lawsuit, mentioning having signed 9 documents at Beijing law firm and officially entrusting Beijing lawyer Pan Xiaoke to represent him. He also referred to Gu Ke’s photography work in the post, stating his intention to respond to the lawsuit.

According to the Weibo account “Xing Qiu_Eliotkipuka,” the case was registered in the Chaoyang District Court in Beijing on September 28, 2026. Liu Xiaoqing demanded Deng Yangyang to delete the relevant infringing content and issue a public apology.

This privacy lawsuit has gathered attention, closely related to another dispute between Liu Xiaoqing and her former photography assistant, Gu Ke, over a labor dispute.

Reports suggest that Gu Ke is seeking a payment of 5.04 million RMB from Liu Xiaoqing for labor services, claiming that besides photography work, he had taken on additional responsibilities such as transportation, villa management, and other household tasks throughout the years, exceeding the originally agreed workload. Despite an initial mediation on August 4 at the Chaoyang District Court in Beijing, they failed to reach a settlement, with the case expected to be publicly heard in late October.

Gu Ke, aged 38, joined Liu Xiaoqing’s personal team in 2015 with an initial agreement of a monthly salary of 10,000 RMB. He argues that as the job scope expanded, he undertook tasks beyond photography and even resided in Liu Xiaoqing’s villa. Details regarding the existence of an intimate relationship between them, the eligibility for additional compensation for related tasks, and the basis for the 5.04 million RMB calculation are subjects of individual claims.

The labor dispute between Liu Xiaoqing and Gu Ke primarily involves job responsibilities, labor relations, and remuneration calculation. On the other hand, Liu Xiaoqing’s privacy lawsuit against Deng Yangyang encompasses the acquisition, dissemination, and potential privacy infringement of private chat records and voice messages.

While both cases involve the same individuals, they revolve around different aspects.

On October 14, the Weibo user “Star Entertainment Lesson Representative,” with 517,000 followers, noted the public interest surrounding Liu Xiaoqing and Gossip Yangyang’s case. The issue of private surveillance and invasion of privacy has always been a matter of concern for the public. Stars, like ordinary people, deserve undisturbed privacy in their daily lives. Many are awaiting further updates on the situation.
