Chinese actress Zhao Liying, who has been divorced for 4 years, was recently rumored to be in a new relationship. An entertainment blogger released multiple videos claiming that Taiwanese director Zhao Deyin had been entering and exiting the residential area where Zhao Liying lives for three consecutive days, even taking her 5-year-old son “Xiang Xiang” out to play, showing a close relationship with their family.
The video exposed by Chinese blogger “Zhang Xiaohan” on May 14th showed that on the night of April 28th, Zhao Deyin entered the residential area where Zhao Liying lives and then took Zhao Liying’s son “Xiang Xiang” to a nearby park to watch a fireworks show. The two walked hand in hand and appeared very natural together. That night, after sending “Xiang Xiang” back home, Zhao Deyin returned to the hotel alone to rest.
According to the revelations, Zhao Deyin is very affectionate towards “Xiang Xiang”, embracing him from behind while watching the fireworks, and later walking hand in hand back home, appearing to outsiders as a father-son pair.

42-year-old Zhao Deyin, born in Myanmar, later went to Taiwan for education and career development. He was also honored as the Outstanding Taiwanese Film Worker of the 53rd Golden Horse Awards for his work on “Exit”. In 2011, Zhao Deyin renounced his Myanmar citizenship and naturalized as a citizen of the Republic of China. In 2024, he directed the drama film “The Heart of Qiao Yan”, starring Zhao Liying, marking his first feature film in mainland China.
37-year-old Zhao Liying is a popular actress in mainland China, having starred in numerous hit TV dramas and movies, and won several awards. In 2021, she divorced Chinese actor Feng Shaofeng, with whom she shares a son named “Xiang Xiang”.
According to Chinese media reports, “The Heart of Qiao Yan” was nominated at the Cannes Film Festival in 2024.
