In Guizhou Province, Jinping County, Qiandongnan Prefecture, a traffic accident occurred at a farmer’s market on the morning of August 17th (Monday), where an off-road vehicle suspected of losing control crashed into a crowd, causing multiple people to be knocked down and injured.
According to a netizen’s post, near the Qingjiang Bridge under the farmer’s market in Jinping County, at around 8 am this morning during the busy market day, a white small off-road vehicle suddenly lost control in the crowded pedestrian flow and collided with the crowd, resulting in injuries to multiple people.
Reported by “Tide News,” an accident occurred around 8:50 am on August 17th near the exit of the Tianma underground parking lot in Sanjiang Town, Jinping County. A 48-year-old man named Zhou, driving a small off-road vehicle, suddenly lost control while driving and crashed into the crowd on the road.
The accident took place on a busy market day in the area. A circulated online video shows a white private car parked in the middle of the road, with several people lying on the ground and a large crowd of onlookers gathered around.
One eyewitness stated, “Today happened to be a market day, with many people, and the driver (causing the accident) is a male.” Local shop owners mentioned that the accident occurred at the Qingjiang Bridge.
Jinping County Public Security Bureau issued an incident report, stating that at around 8:50 am on August 17th, a road traffic accident occurred in Sanjiang Town. Upon preliminary investigation, it was found that Zhou, driving the small off-road vehicle, lost control near the exit of the Tianma underground parking lot, resulting in injuries to people on the road.
