In London, a household recently captured an amusing scene on their surveillance camera, showcasing the age-old feud between cats and dogs. The footage revealed a mischievous neighboring cat sneaking into the house and stealing the dinner intended for their small dog. However, the dog, named Rosie, promptly chased the cat out, much to the amusement of the family witnessing the whole event.
According to a report by London Now, the video, recorded on October 6th, shows an uninvited little cat sneaking into the home of a 40-year-old man, Myron Wallace, and helping itself to the food in Rosie’s bowl.
Despite Wallace and others being unaware of the cat’s intrusion, Rosie the Cockapoo dog noticed the cat stealing her dinner and sprung into action from her position on the stairs. After a brief chase, the cat was eventually driven out by Rosie.
Wallace mentioned that at the time of the incident, his family was upstairs and unaware of the cat’s intrusion until they heard the dog barking and checked the surveillance footage to see what had occurred.
He said, “We heard a commotion from upstairs and rushed down. When we looked back at the surveillance footage, everyone couldn’t help but burst into laughter.”
Wallace noted that the cat, which lives nearby, is always filled with curiosity. Rosie was completely unaware of the cat’s presence. She wasn’t guarding her food but was guarding their home. After the cat left, she began patrolling the area, carefully sniffing where the cat had been.
Sharing the footage with others turned out to be a hit. Wallace said, “I showed it to neighbors and colleagues, and everyone laughed and wanted to watch it again and again.”
For him and his family, this unexpected encounter with the cat not only brought laughter but also served as a reminder to stay alert not just to who comes to the front door but also to unexpected guests like cats.
Wallace also mentioned that this wasn’t the first time a cat had invaded their home. Previously, during construction work, an orange cat sneaked in, and the workers assumed it was his pet. It was only when he returned from walking the dog that the cat quickly made its exit.
