The media affiliated with the Houthi rebels have released several photos of the wreckage of an F-15. The website of the conflict zone has confirmed that one of the wreckage photos shows the tail number appearing to be 5539, indicating that the aircraft belonged to the 55th Squadron stationed at King Khalid Air Base. Furthermore, the aircraft appears to be an F-15SA, which is the most advanced model in the series used by the Saudi Air Force.
Moreover, China has never officially acknowledged selling Dongfeng-15 series missiles to Saudi Arabia, and the Saudi official sources have never mentioned this weapon in any military parade, equipment exhibition, or official documents.
