The 8th NTD International Piano Competition kicked off on Wednesday at the Kaufman Center in Manhattan. Pianists from ten countries gathered in New York to showcase their skills and participate in this grand event. The competition lasted for four days, with Wednesday (September 2) marking the first day of the preliminary rounds.
This year’s NTD International Piano Competition is one of the international cultural and arts series competitions organized by NTD Television. The competition aims to promote the pure, good, and beautiful traditional art, showcasing the brilliance of piano music from Baroque, Classical to Romantic periods.
The semi-finals on September 4 and the finals on September 5 will both be broadcast live. Following the finals, there will be a winners’ concert and award ceremony, which will also be jointly live-streamed on the internet by NTD Television and Epoch Times.
The competition includes gold, silver, and bronze awards, as well as the Best Interpretation Award for designated pieces, with the gold prize winner receiving a $10,000 cash prize.
