Mysterious Objects Falling from the Sky in Yiyang, Hunan Sparking Controversy

Recently, several netizens posted videos on social media claiming that in Ziyang District, Yiyang City, Hunan Province, multiple unidentified objects fell from the sky.

The videos show white unidentified objects falling from the sky, with burnt marks on the shattered debris. On the scene, there were people watching and discussing.

According to Chinese media reports, around 6:30 pm on July 27th, residents of Zihukou Town heard several loud noises, followed by noticing unidentified flying objects falling into a water pond. The dropping of these large objects also caused severe vibrations. Witnesses mentioned, “We saw two to three pieces falling here, some as big as a bread van.”

In response to this incident, on July 28th, the government officials of Ziyang District stated that indeed multiple satellite debris fell in the local area. These were accessories that fell off after the satellite launch, supposed to land in Dongting Lake but deviated slightly and landed on the shore instead.

It is reported that no casualties were reported from this incident, and local authorities are preparing for the recovery operation.
