2NE1 marks 15th debut anniversary with group photo and CL’s letter to fans

On May 17, 2009, the popular South Korean girl group 2NE1 made their debut. The group disbanded in 2016 but on this day in the year, the members shared a group photo on their personal official Instagram accounts to celebrate 2NE1’s 15th debut anniversary.

Leader CL (Lee Chae-rin) posted the photo with a message: “Hello BLACKJACKs (official 2NE1 fans) and GZBs (CL’s personal fans)! Long time no see. Today, May 17, to commemorate our 15th birthday, thank you all for loving and supporting us. Let’s laugh and cry together, and cherish memories with everyone who has stood by 2NE1 and me. It feels surreal to be standing in front of the camera as 2NE1 after a long time. Let’s feel the eternal mystery that time cannot change and embrace the deep beauty of change and growth that comes with passing time.”

In English, she added: “2NE1 has always been my home, allowing me to freely love, play, express, create, shine, blend, connect with others, and share with others. I hope today 2NE1 can remind you to feel your light (smile).”

DARA (Park Sandara) expressed, “Congratulations on 2NE1 and BLACKJACK’s 15th anniversary~!!! I love you all~!!! Happy 15th Anniversary 2NE1 & Blackjacks.”

MINZY (Gong Minji) wrote, “Happy 15th anniversary! Love you, BLACKJACK” while BOM (Park Bom) celebrated the day with, “Congratulations on 2NE1’s 15th anniversary.”
