Shandong woman’s 400,000 yuan savings turn to zero – Bank statement reveals clues.

A woman in Zibo, Shandong Province has discovered that her savings of over 400,000 yuan in Zibo Qishang Bank have gone missing after years of keeping the money there. When she tried to withdraw the funds recently, she found that her account balance was zero. After printing out her bank transaction records, she noticed something suspicious.

According to a message circulating on social media, the woman, Ms. Qi, claimed that she had deposited over 400,000 yuan at the Qishang Bank branch in Zibo, Shandong. However, when she attempted to make a withdrawal, she was shocked to find that her account balance was empty.

Upon reviewing her bank statements from the past four years, Ms. Qi discovered that every deposit she made at the bank counter with her bank card had been withdrawn on the same day without her knowledge.

Reportedly, Ms. Qi had chosen Zibo Qishang Bank as her primary deposit bank for many years and had trustingly placed her lifelong savings into the account there. However, her recent visit to the bank for a withdrawal turned into a nightmare. Faced with this unexpected turn of events, the depositor was left shocked. After several unsuccessful attempts to resolve the issue with the bank, she decided to share her experience online in hopes of gaining public attention and assistance.

In response to this incident, on October 22nd, customer service staff at Zibo Qishang Bank stated that the matter had been reported to the relevant departments and there was currently no resolution in place.

Officials from the Zibo Supervision Bureau of the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission stated that they were monitoring the situation closely, and the relevant departments were actively investigating the matter.

According to the official website of Qishang Bank, the bank was established on August 28, 1997, and it is a joint-stock commercial bank formed under the fourth batch of urban credit union establishments nationwide.

The news of the disappearance of a depositor’s savings at Zibo Qishang Bank in Shandong Province has caused a stir on the internet. The news quickly spread online, sparking public concerns and discussions about the safety of bank deposits.

Many netizens expressed their views, stating that bank deposits should be one of the safest and most reliable ways of managing finances. However, this incident has severely undermined their trust in banks. Some pointed out that similar cases of disappearing savings have occurred in recent years. As financial institutions, banks should bear the responsibility of safeguarding depositor’s funds; otherwise, it will seriously damage the reputation and image of the bank.
