On October 8th, a violent incident occurred in the Tianhe District of Guangzhou, where a man in his 60s allegedly sought revenge on society by attacking people with a knife in front of a primary school, resulting in injuries to 3 individuals.
According to a report by the Tianhe District Branch of the Guangzhou Public Security Bureau on October 8th, around 2 p.m., a case of a man wielding a knife and injuring pedestrians happened on Huachang Road in Tianhe District, causing three people to be wounded and sent to the hospital for treatment. Two of them have been discharged, while one person is still undergoing medical treatment with no life-threatening injuries. The police arrested a suspect named Zhao (male, 60 years old) at the scene, and the case is currently under further investigation.
Information passed to reporters from Epoch Times by informed sources indicated that the incident took place at the entrance of a primary school, where two children were injured, one with a stab wound to the stomach, and an adult also sustained injuries.
One parent said, “Just as my daughter was going to school, the injured little boy and his aunt were just ahead of my daughter. The little boy was stabbed in the stomach, bleeding heavily, and the aunt was also injured. There was a long knife. My daughter was frightened and cried. It is said that there was another child injured at the school gate.”
Another parent warned, “There was an incident of people being harmed at the school gate just now. Parents should not let their children go to school alone recently. Pay close attention to safety!”
A handwritten note suspected to be from the perpetrator, provided by insiders, indicated that he was involved in a case, accusing the court of resting the case without presenting evidence, and the higher authorities did not handle it, as he had no money to hire a lawyer. He wrote, “Children: You are innocent. The High Court wants me to handle it myself. I wear mourning clothes for the children.”
According to information circulating online, the violent incident occurred at the Huasui Road campus of Tianhe No.1 Primary School. The campus is located at No. 273 Huasui Road in Zhujiang New Town, bordered to the north by Huangpu Avenue, the Guangzhou Procuratorate; to the south by Huachang Road and the Guangdong Provincial Procuratorate; with Poly Klover Plaza to the east and R&F Yingli Building to the west.
