On Thursday, September 3, Fox News announced that host Maria Bartiromo has left the network after 12 and a half years of service. Fox News Media stated that as of that day, Maria Bartiromo is no longer an employee of the network.
“We thank Maria for her hard work over the past 12 and a half years and wish her the best in the next phase of her life,” Fox News Media said in a statement. The statement did not mention the reason for Bartiromo’s departure.
Maria Bartiromo hosted the show “Mornings with Maria” on Fox Business Channel, which aired Monday to Friday. The final episode aired on Thursday morning. Starting from Friday, the show will be taken over by “Mornings with FOX Business,” featuring rotating hosts.
Her weekly show “Maria Bartiromo’s Wall Street” will be renamed “FBN’s Wall Street,” with Cheryl Casone hosting this week and rotating hosts taking over in the future.
Bartiromo also previously hosted “Sunday Morning Futures” on Fox News Channel. Jason Chaffetz will be hosting the show this Sunday. Fox News Media indicated that the official replacement will be announced later.
Fox Business Channel is planning to announce new weekday program schedules in the coming weeks.
Both Fox News and Fox Business Channel are subsidiaries of Fox Corporation.
