Gunshot incident occurred in the Chinatown Business District on Brooklyn’s U Avenue on the afternoon of June 1st, where a 19-year-old man was shot and injured on the street. The local 61st precinct police are currently searching for the whereabouts of the suspect.
According to the police report, around 2:30 pm on Monday, a 19-year-old young man was arguing with an unidentified man in front of 1213 U Avenue. During the dispute, the suspect suddenly pulled out a gun and shot the young man in the back before fleeing west along U Avenue and then north along East 12th Street.
Upon receiving the report, paramedics arrived on the scene and rushed the injured young man to Maimonides Hospital for treatment. Currently, his condition is stable. It is understood that the victim is not of Chinese descent.
