Chinese Communist Party leader Xi Jinping arrived in Kyrgyzstan on August 30 to attend the 2026 Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit. Xi’s physical condition appeared to be abnormal as he continuously coughed during the welcoming ceremony. Upon disembarking, photographers attempting to capture close-up images of Xi were forcibly removed by Xi’s accompanying bodyguards.
According to China’s Xinhua News Agency, Xi arrived in the Kyrgyz capital, Bishkek, on the afternoon of August 30 on a special plane to attend the 2026 SCO Summit and conduct a state visit to Kyrgyzstan.
During the welcoming ceremony in Kyrgyzstan, Xi was seen covering his mouth with his left hand and coughing continuously.
In another video segment, while Xi was at the Kyrgyzstan airport, a photographer tried to approach for a shot, but Chinese bodyguards swiftly intervened and forcibly pulled the photographer away.
Furthermore, observant individuals noted that when Xi Jinping disembarked the plane, he tightly held hands with Peng Liyuan, while Peng appeared to be discreetly supporting Xi. This part was omitted in the official CCTV footage.
Rumors surrounding Xi Jinping’s health, including strokes, brain tumors, cirrhosis, secret surgeries, and more, have been persistent in recent years. In public appearances, Xi’s most noticeable abnormalities include swaying while walking, involuntary tremors in the head, speaking with lack of vigor, and frequent blinking.
