After being listed for sale for some time, the transaction was finally completed at a dealership specializing in high-end off-road vehicles, with the car being taken over by the well-known automotive influencer “Lao Bai”.
In the video footage of the car-buying scene, “Lao Bai” and fellow blogger “Lao Wu” went to the dealership specializing in the relevant car models to complete the handover procedures.
According to on-site sources, this blue BRABUS G800 had only traveled four to five thousand kilometers, maintaining a good condition close to that of a new car. The transfer and sale process went smoothly as the car was not registered under Kris Wu’s name.
During the inspection, “Lao Bai” even asked the staff whether the passenger seat had “carried anyone”. Upon receiving a negative answer, he humorously leaned over the passenger seat to “inhale the air”, jokingly saying he wanted to feel the aura left by the previous owner, which amused netizens.
Kris Wu was arrested in 2021 on charges including rape and was sentenced to 13 years in prison with expulsion, a sentence upheld on appeal. After spending 5 years in prison, rumors in 2024 suggested his mother intended to sell his luxurious car, shocking the public with the price tag.
Two years ago, the car listed for sale was a BRABUS G800, as mentioned in the intermediary’s posting. At that time, a netizen asked if “Mrs. Fan wants to sell it,” and the response was understated with a confirmation and revealing that Mrs. Wu intended to sell it for 6 million yuan.
Information indicates that Kris Wu’s global limited edition BRABUS G800, with an original price close to 10 million yuan, was based on a top-tier modification model by BRABUS built on the Mercedes-Benz G-Class, with only 24 units worldwide (some batches being limited to the Greater China region). Kris Wu’s car featured the extremely rare “Chinese Porcelain Blue” exterior paint and white interior tone, with a total mileage of only four to five thousand kilometers until it changed hands, remaining in almost new condition.
With Kris Wu’s sentence beginning in July 2021, he will remain behind bars until 2034 before being deported to Canada. Over the past few years, besides his entertainment career in China being completely shut down, his cousin Wu Lin and associated company (Fan World Entertainment) have been listed as dishonest persons facing billions in debts and lawsuits, leading to a collapse of his economic support within the country.
