Wang Leehom slip and fall during Mainland China tour, blood splashes on face and ears

Taiwanese singer Wang Leehom had a concert in Chengdu, China on July 4th, where he encountered an unexpected mishap while performing his song “Tian Di Long Lin.” It is reported that he accidentally tripped and fell heavily on the stage when his safety belt got entangled, causing a loud impact as his left side of the face hit the ground, blood flowing from his face and ear, which startled the audience.

Surprisingly, this is not the first time Wang Leehom has experienced a stage accident while singing “Tian Di Long Lin.” There was a remarkable coincidence similar to last year’s incident during a performance in Hangzhou.

Videos circulating on Weibo captured the moment when Wang Leehom energetically sang “Tian Di Long Lin” and fell to the ground, visibly bleeding from the left side of his face and ear, prompting gasps from the audience below.

Immediately after the accident, several staff rushed onto the stage to assess the situation. Despite the fall, Wang Leehom managed to stand up on his own and continued with the performance. To reassure his fans, he mentioned on stage, “The earphones broke, and my ear is bleeding, it’s just some external injuries, so don’t worry,” comparing himself to a Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter.

In a somewhat eerie coincidence, this is not the first time Wang Leehom experienced a stage crisis while performing “Tian Di Long Lin.” Last May during the Hangzhou tour, he was supposed to showcase a giant drum rising on stage but almost fell into the gap between the platform due to a sudden drop of the lifting platform, narrowly escaping a potential disaster.

At the time, the audience was also shocked, and the topic of “Wang Leehom’s concert almost falling off the stage” quickly trended on Weibo. Many fans questioned the stage safety management of the concert production team as both accidents occurred while singing the same song “Tian Di Long Lin.” Some netizens exclaimed, “What a coincidence!” and “How come it’s this song again?”

In fact, in January this year, during a concert in Zhuji, Zhejiang, China, Wang Leehom encountered another stage mishap. Emotionally charged while singing “Impossible to Miss You,” he collapsed on the stage after the final verse, struggling to get up. It was later discovered that his necklace was stuck in the gap between the stage floor grids, immobilizing him until he managed to free it and continue the performance, interacting with the audience as usual, all within about ten seconds.

Fans humorously commented on the incident, saying, “The necklace added drama,” and “Experience the longest ten seconds of life.”
