Walmart is recalling two Chinese-made products due to safety hazards.

The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a joint announcement on Wednesday, November 26th, stating that two products sold by Walmart (one of which was also sold on Amazon’s website) are being recalled due to potential safety hazards. Both of these products are manufactured in China and imported to the United States.

One of the recalled products is a tabletop camping stove from the outdoor equipment brand Ozark Trail. The CPSC recall notice warns that the stove may explode or catch fire, posing burn and fire hazards to consumers.

The recalled product includes approximately 201,000 units of the deep green Ozark Trail tabletop stove sold at Walmart. These products bear the model number BG2247A1 and feature an orange “Ozark Trail” logo on the front.

According to the CPSC recall notice, these products were sold at Walmart stores and on the Walmart website from March 2023 to October 2025, with prices ranging from $8 to $45.

The government agency stated that the manufacturer is China Window Industry Co., based in Taiwan, and has received 26 reports of camping stove explosions or fires, with 16 incidents resulting in second-degree burns and other injuries. This product is manufactured in China and imported by Walmart.

The agency advised consumers to immediately stop using the product and return it to Walmart for a refund. The recall number is 26-120.

On Wednesday, the US Consumer Product Safety Commission also issued another recall order, recalling about 24,300 children’s helmets that do not meet certain safety requirements.

The agency stated that the recalled children’s and youth helmets do not comply with mandatory safety standards for bicycle helmets. Specifically, these helmets do not meet requirements for position stability and coverage. In the event of a collision, these helmets may not effectively protect the wearer, posing risks of head injuries or even death. There have been no injury reports related to these helmets to date.

This recall involves two models of helmets sold on Amazon and Walmart’s websites from June 2024 to February 2025, with prices ranging from $20 to $32.

The CPSC notice specified that the first model, OM-TD BIKE, is a blue helmet featuring a dinosaur pattern with black padding, black straps, and a black buckle. This product is in the children’s small (S) size. The second model, OM-KSKB, is a dark green helmet with black padding, yellow straps, and a black buckle, available in the youth small (S) size.

The notice further stated that these helmets are all produced in China and imported by Maysun Products, Inc. based in California (operating under the name Outdoor Master).

Consumers are instructed to immediately stop using the recalled helmets and contact Outdoor Master for a refund. The recall number is 26-122.
