Chinese Communist Party lures Taiwanese artists to propagate united front propaganda; ultimate goal exposed

Taiwanese entertainer Xie He-xian revealed on Facebook on the 14th that he had received a cooperation invitation from a company in mainland China. The offer stated that he could earn over 10 million Taiwanese dollars in endorsement fees by simply posting an article titled “Building New Cross-Strait Relations” on his Facebook account without changing a single word. This news came after the disclosure by a popular Taiwanese internet personality known as “Potter Wang” (Chen Jia-jin) about the ultimate goal of the Chinese Communist Party’s cultural infiltration activities.

The invitation letter disclosed by Xie He-xian showed that the letter was signed by “Li Shi-wei, Chairman of Beijing Ciguang Film and Television Media Co., Ltd.” The letter promised Xie He-xian that he would “not need to make any investment” or “take on any risks,” all he had to do was post the article “Building New Cross-Strait Relations” on his Facebook account without any changes.

In addition to emphasizing that “please rest assured, because Taiwan has a network environment where freedom of speech is protected, so you will not encounter any trouble or negative impact by posting ‘Building New Cross-Strait Relations’ on Facebook,” the letter also vowed to “arrange for you to shoot image endorsement advertisements for at least 10 Taiwan-funded companies in mainland China or members of the Henan Provincial Chamber of Commerce and Industry Association each year, in the capacity of the vice chairman of the Taiwan Kuomintang. The legitimate income from this endorsement alone will exceed 10 million Taiwanese dollars annually.”

In response to this, Xie He-xian firmly stated, “I am sorry, I am a proud Taiwanese, I have grown up drinking Puli water since I was young.” He also expressed, “I will earnestly earn the 10 million on my own, thank you all.”

After Xie He-xian’s post, “Potter Wang” commented below his post, stating that he had also come across similar information. He mentioned that the “Beijing Ciguang Film and Television Media Co., Ltd.” that approached Xie He-xian was only established in China last year and had an initial registered capital of 10 million RMB (approximately 42.54 million Taiwanese dollars), which skyrocketed to 90 million RMB (approximately 382.89 million Taiwanese dollars) in just three months.

“Potter Wang” pointed out that the Chinese Communist Party’s infiltration into Taiwan is carried out on multiple fronts simultaneously. The invitation received by Xie He-xian is just one of the lines he is aware of. The first stage of this line involves spending money to make celebrities and internet personalities puppets, with the ultimate goal being to create a new political party in Taiwan and align it with the operations of the Chinese Communist Party.

In fact, Xie He-xian’s wife, Chen Xiang-ni, responded to Potter Wang, revealing that “Beijing Ciguang Film and Television Media” had invited Xie He-xian to cooperate on three separate occasions. Previously, they had even proposed organizing a themed concert and were looking for independent Taiwanese artists and celebrities as business partners.
