On September 1, 2026, American astronaut Jessica Meir and European Space Agency (ESA) flight engineer Sófie Adorno are scheduled to begin the 99th spacewalk at around 8:30 a.m. Eastern Time (12:30 Coordinated Universal Time). They will be undertaking various tasks at the International Space Station’s “Harmony” node, including replacing a reflector on the forward end of the port, installing jumper cables for the data relay system, preparing for future maintenance of the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer’s radiator, and replacing a high-definition camera on the space station’s truss.
Sófie Adorno will serve as the lead spacewalker, wearing a spacesuit with red stripes, while Jessica Meir will be the second spacewalker, wearing an unmarked spacesuit.
