On the morning of August 25th, a traffic accident occurred in Ningbo, where a 37-year-old man suddenly fell ill while driving, causing him to collide with an electric tricycle and three electric bicycles in succession, resulting in one death and four injuries.
Surveillance footage shows a white motor vehicle rear-ending an electric tricycle and three electric bicycles on the road, passing through and sparking against the vehicles and people. The bottom of the vehicle was sparking as it raced past. A dashboard camera footage indicated that the white car finally stopped after hitting a parked car, lifting a car covered with a car cloth and pressing it onto the rear car.
The Ningbo traffic police issued a report stating that a traffic accident occurred around 7:44 am on August 25th in Jishigang Town, Haishu District, on Jishidong Road, resulting in five injuries. The injured were all taken to hospital for treatment, with one person declared dead after resuscitation efforts failed. According to preliminary investigations, the driver responsible for the accident, Yu (male, 37 years old, from Beilun, Ningbo), fell ill while driving. He is currently receiving treatment at the hospital, and suspicions of drunk or drugged driving have been ruled out. The cause of the accident is still under further investigation.
