The skin is the body’s largest organ and an important indicator of overall health. The “New Tang Dynasty Health Expo,” co-hosted by NTD Television, The Epoch Times, Sanofi, and SCAN, will be held on July 25th (Saturday) at the Sheraton Hotel in Flushing, offering free admission to the public. Through expert lectures, health screenings, and on-site consultations, attendees can learn how to start with skin health to protect their own and their family’s well-being.
This health expo, themed “Protecting the First Line of Health – Starting with Understanding the Skin,” will feature three medical experts sharing knowledge on skin diseases, the latest medical developments, and health management.
Dr. Catherine Ding, a dermatologist from City Derm NYC, will speak on “Healthy Skin: Acne Care and Treatment,” covering the causes of acne and common skin issues, daily care routines, and the latest treatment options.
Dr. Jeffrey Weinberg, a clinical professor in dermatology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, will discuss “The Application of Clinical Trials in Skin Disease Treatment,” sharing the latest research findings in the field of skin diseases and new developments in clinical treatments.
Family medicine specialist Dr. Du Tao will present on “Nutrition and Health,” starting from scientific nutrition and healthy lifestyle practices, introducing practical ways to maintain physical and mental health.
In addition to the keynote speeches, the event will offer various free health services on-site, including lung function tests, exhaled nitric oxide testing, pulse oximetry monitoring, type 1 diabetes screenings, and body mass index (BMI) measurements by Lightship; blood pressure tests, obesity index screenings, physical therapy, and podiatric consultations by NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Hospital; cognitive health and healthy aging education by Mount Sinai Hospital; skin health education, interactive games, and prize drawings by City Derm NYC.
Moreover, attendees can receive free consultations on family medicine, dental and spinal treatments, lupus consultations, stroke screenings, as well as access to diverse community resources such as low-income benefits, green card applications, housing assistance, insurance consultations and registration services, and immigration legal advice.
The event will feature prize drawings, including valuable prizes such as PRIENCE Black Ginseng, air purifiers, PRIENCE soap, convenient electric kettles, and fans, with a total value of $168.
The organizers hope that through health lectures, medical resources, and free screenings, the public’s awareness of skin health and disease prevention will be raised. They aim to encourage people to detect health warnings early, establish the correct concept of healthcare, and protect the health of their entire families.
