Trump: Actions Against Iran Nearing Conclusion, Strategic Goals Soon to be Achieved

On April 2, 2026, US President Trump made a national speech on Wednesday evening, declaring that the “Epic Wrath Operation” against Iran has been ongoing for a month and has achieved overwhelming victory. Trump announced that the US military’s core strategic objectives are close to completion but issued a final ultimatum to Iran, stating that if an agreement is not reached within two to three weeks, the strike will escalate to target civilian infrastructure.

In his speech, Trump detailed the successes of the past few weeks, stating that the US military has systematically destroyed Iran’s ability to project power externally.

“Tonight, Iran’s navy no longer exists, its air force has turned into scrap metal, and its leadership – those members of the terror regime – most are already dead,” Trump said. He added that Iran’s capabilities in missile launches and unmanned drones have also been severely damaged, and their defense industry facilities along with rocket launchers have been destroyed.

Trump emphasized that the achievement of core objectives is within reach, and the US military will “rapidly complete the mission.”

“Within the next two to three weeks, we will strike them very fiercely. We will set them back to the Stone Age,” he said.

Trump reiterated his long-standing position of never allowing Iran to possess nuclear weapons, stating that this military action is necessary for “the security of America and the security of the free world.”

“My top choice has always been diplomatic avenues. However, the Iranian regime continues to relentlessly pursue nuclear weapons, rejecting every attempt at reaching agreements,” he said.

Since he first announced his presidential campaign in 2015, Trump has promised never to allow Iran to have nuclear weapons. He stated that this commitment is in response to 47 years of hostility towards the United States and Israel by the Iranian regime, citing instances such as the Beirut barracks bombing that killed 241 US Marines, roadside bombs that killed hundreds of US soldiers, and the bloody attack on Israel on October 7, 2023.

Trump also accused the Iranian regime of recently killing 45,000 Iranian civilians who participated in protests.

“Most people have never seen such atrocities in their lifetime,” Trump believes that these records are sufficient to prove the highly dangerous nature of the regime and that they must not be allowed to possess weapons of mass destruction.

“If these terrorists have nuclear weapons, it would pose an intolerable threat. This most violent and hostile regime would be able to freely promote terror, coercion, conquest, and mass slaughter under a nuclear umbrella,” Trump said.

He defined this war as an investment in the future of future generations, aiming to free the world from the shadow of nuclear threats.

Regarding the global concern over energy supply, Trump stated that the US has reduced its dependence on Middle Eastern oil and that the US oil and gas production now exceeds the total of Saudi Arabia and Russia.

“The US is almost no longer importing oil through the Hormuz Strait,” Trump advocated that countries truly reliant on the strait for energy supply should take action and “take on the primary responsibility of protecting maritime security.”

He suggested that countries facing fuel shortages should turn to the US to purchase oil.

Despite announcing that the war is nearing completion, Trump continues to pressure Iran. He warned that if an agreement cannot be reached within the next two to three weeks, the US military will target all power plants within Iran and may “possibly take simultaneous, extremely fierce actions.”

He revealed that the reason the US military has not attacked Iran’s oil facilities is to leave a glimmer of hope.

Regarding the domestic concern over economic impact, Trump emphasized that the US economy is currently at its strongest ever and can withstand the impact of the war.

He attributed the recent rise in domestic oil prices to Iran’s terrorist attacks on oil tankers, stating that this proves the regime is untrustworthy.

Trump predicted that once the conflict ends, the waterways will naturally reopen.

“It will open up naturally because they will want to sell oil – that is the only thing they have to rebuild with,” Trump believes that as oil flows again, prices will quickly fall, and the stock market will rebound.

In his speech, Trump also mentioned other significant developments. He congratulated NASA on the successful launch of “Artemis 2,” stating that its manned flight distance will set a new human historical record.

Additionally, he stated that the US and Venezuela have become “joint venture partners” in producing and selling energy, further cementing America’s leading position in energy.
