Wang Xiaofei Suspected to Have Known Dee Hsu Was Critically Ill Two Days Ago, Urgently Calling for “Rescue”

Taiwanese artist Big S (Dee Hsu), who rose to fame through the Taiwanese drama “Meteor Garden,” passed away suddenly during a family trip to Japan over the Lunar New Year holiday due to complications from pneumonia. Before her untimely death, Big S had a high-profile marriage and subsequent divorce from mainland Chinese entrepreneur Wang Xiaofei. Wang, whose every move has been closely watched, rushed back to Taiwan from Thailand upon hearing the tragic news. Internet users uncovered a live stream video where Wang Xiaofei appeared to have known about Big S’s critical condition two days prior.

The news of Big S’s sudden passing at the age of 48 quickly spread to mainland China and became a hot topic on Weibo. In a live stream video featuring Wang Xiaofei’s mother, Zhang Lan, Zhang was seen applying makeup when Wang suddenly interrupted and exclaimed, “I’m in a hurry.” When Zhang nervously asked what was wrong, Wang’s muffled voice could be heard saying words like “getting worse” and “rescue,” hinting at Big S’s deteriorating health. Zhang’s face turned pale upon hearing this and replied, “Let’s talk later,” before swiftly ending the live stream.

Big S and Wang Xiaofei had a whirlwind romance, getting married shortly after meeting and welcoming two children together, daughter Wang Xiyue (10 years old) and son Wang Xilin (8 years old). Despite their divorce and public disputes, including legal battles, Wang Xiaofei’s demeanor changed drastically upon learning of Big S’s passing. He returned to Taiwan from Thailand on the 3rd of the month, looking solemn with swollen eyes, and pleaded with the media to “speak more kindly of her,” emphasizing that Big S was “forever family.”

Reports indicated that Wang Xiaofei stood alone in the rain upon arriving in Taiwan, walking through the streets of Taipei in the cold without uttering a word, seemingly shedding tears mixed with rainwater. It took him nearly half an hour to return to his mansion after the emotional solitary walk, which is located just 650 meters away from Big S’s residence, a mere 9-minute walk. Later that evening, Wang initially drove his wife, Ma Xiaomei, back home before appearing alone near Big S’s house, eventually returning to his place after a brief visit.

Zhang Lan also expressed willingness to assist with Big S’s arrangements, emphasizing the importance of comforting and protecting the two children shared between Big S and Wang Xiaofei. She underscored that it is a shared mission and goal between the two families, saying, “This is our common mission and goal. Once again, we express our sorrow! May Xiyuan have a peaceful journey.”

According to Taiwan’s “Sanli News Network,” as Big S’s family is currently in Japan, her cremation and funeral arrangements will be conducted in Japan before her ashes are brought back to Taiwan. Wang Xiaofei changed his profile pictures on social media platforms to black images in mourning. Many friends and fans from the entertainment industry have expressed shock and deep sorrow over Big S’s passing, sharing tributes online.
