Raising Cane’s Fried Chicken Fast Food Chain Opens Seven New Stores

In celebration of its 30th anniversary, the well-known American fast-food chain “Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers” is set to open seven new stores in August. The fast-food chain, ranked third in annual sales among chicken meat brands in the United States, plans to open seven new restaurants, including two new markets in eastern North Carolina and southeastern Georgia. In a statement to USA TODAY, the chain also plans to reopen four renovated restaurants.

Besides the aforementioned two new stores, the other five new stores will be located in Michigan, New Jersey, Alabama, and California, with California adding two new locations. The four renovated stores are in Texas, Kentucky, Nevada, and Ohio.

According to the information provided on the Raising Cane’s website, the company opened its first store on August 28, 1996. This fast-food brand is famous for its chicken fingers and “Cane’s Sauce,” made from a blend of various spices.

The company stated in a press release, “August is a significant month for Raising Cane’s as we celebrate its 30th birthday and reflect on the achievements we have made since opening our first restaurant in 1996.”

The company also mentioned that whether it is a new store opening or a renovated restaurant, each opening in August and beyond represents their ongoing commitment.

In March of this year, Raising Cane’s opened its 1000th store, marking a new milestone in the company’s development. The company also announced its plans to open 100 new stores in 2026, with the seven new restaurants opening in August accounting for 7% of the company’s total annual goal.

As of 2025, Raising Cane’s ranked third in annual sales among American fast-food chicken chain brands, following Chick-fil-A and Popeyes.
