Meeting with British Parliamentary Visit Group, Hsiao Mei-chin: Continue to Deepen Partnership Relations.

A group of British parliamentarians visited Taiwan and met with Vice President of the Republic of China, Lai Ching-te, on the 26th. Lai expressed gratitude to the visitors for their long-standing attention and friendship towards Taiwan, advocating for deepening bilateral economic and trade cooperation and supporting Taiwan’s meaningful participation in international organizations. She hopes that both countries will continue to enhance their trade partnership and further cooperate in the field of artificial intelligence.

In the afternoon of the 26th, Vice President Lai Ching-te met with the “British Labor Party Taiwan Friendship Association Visiting Group,” which included British Members of Parliament Navendu Mishra, Tahir Ali, Paula Barker, Gill Furniss, and Connor Naismith.

During her speech, Lai Ching-te first thanked the visitors for their long-standing attention and friendship towards Taiwan, as well as their support for the partnership between Taiwan and the people of the United Kingdom. She also highlighted their ongoing advocacy in the British Parliament for deepening bilateral economic and trade cooperation and supporting Taiwan’s meaningful participation in international organizations.
