The Chinese Communist Party delegate to the Henan Provincial People’s Congress, Tang Xiantai, passed away at the end of last year. He was 59 years old. The news of his death was recently revealed. Tang had served as the Secretary of the Political and Legal Affairs Committee of Hebi City.
On January 11, an announcement from the Henan Provincial People’s Congress Standing Committee stated that Tang Xiantai, a representative of the Fourteenth People’s Congress of Henan Province, had passed away due to illness. His representative status naturally ceased.
The official announcement did not specify the illness that led to Tang Xiantai’s death.
Tang Xiantai, born in December 1965, was a member of the Chinese Communist Party. He had worked in Anyang City for many years, holding positions such as Director and Party Secretary of the Anyang City Environmental Protection Bureau, County Magistrate and County Party Secretary of Tangyin County. In 2014, he became the Deputy Mayor of Anyang City, and in 2020, he was appointed as a member of the Standing Committee of the Hebi Municipal Party Committee and Secretary of the Political and Legal Affairs Committee. In September 2021, he was appointed as a member of the Standing Committee of the Hebi Municipal Party Committee and Secretary of the Municipal Discipline Inspection Commission.
According to the Chinese media outlet “China Leader Post,” Tang Xiantai passed away on November 18, 2024, at the age of 59.
