In a news report dated January 11, 2025, a couple from North Carolina in the United States fell in love with Disney World and decided to relocate near the theme park in Florida to enjoy it every day. They embraced the joyous lifestyle offered by the magical world of Disney.
John, 56, and Jessica, 42, were originally living in the outskirts of Charlotte, North Carolina. Tired of the monotonous routine of their daily lives, they made the bold decision to move to their dream destination near Disney World in Florida.
Jessica expressed that their previous life in the Charlotte suburbs involved frequent dining at five local restaurants and evenings spent lounging on the couch watching TV. Unwilling to settle for such a mundane existence for the rest of their lives, they opted for a significant change even before retirement.
Witnessing a family member struggle to enjoy the fruits of their hard work after retirement served as a wake-up call for them. Determined not to fall into the same trap, John and Jessica made the life-changing decision to relocate to Florida on the brink of retirement.
After their children had grown up and started families of their own, the couple moved to Davenport, Florida, just 7 miles (11 kilometers) away from Disney World. They now spend nearly every day immersing themselves in the magic of the theme park.
Jessica shared, “We love the Disney World resort. Besides Mickey Mouse and roller coasters, there are so many things to do and see. I can’t even count how many times we’ve been there. We’ve been living here for over two years now.”
Active on social media, Jessica often posts about their adventures at the theme park. In a recent trending video, they showcased how they spent an entire day at the park, exploring the attractions, dining, sipping cocktails, meeting friends, watching fireworks, and enjoying live music.
Despite not everyone understanding their current lifestyle, the couple has received mostly positive feedback and their friends and family are delighted to see them finding so much happiness through their move.
Encouraging those who have dreams but fear change, Jessica advises, “Don’t let fear stop you from making significant changes.”
