Zhou Xingchi’s Confident Response to Being Set up by Carina Lau to Act with Tony Leung

Hong Kong, Aug 20, 2026 – During a recent promotional event in Hong Kong for the movie “Kung Fu Women’s Soccer”, Stephen Chow (Stephen Chow sing chi) was interviewed on the show “Stars of the Week”. Faced with fellow guest Carina Lau’s spontaneous suggestion that he should collaborate with her husband, Tony Leung Chiu-wai, on a film, Chow responded confidently, “Nothing is impossible!” in Cantonese.

Carina Lau, appearing as a guest on the show alongside Chow, publicly expressed her wish to see Chow and her husband Tony Leung collaborate on a film. The host, Trista Lee, jokingly suggested that Carina herself should convince Tony Leung to make it happen and probed Chow about his stance on the matter.

Known for rarely making public statements about collaborations, Chow’s bold response had the audience cheering as he declared, “Nothing is impossible!” Despite knowing each other since their youth, Chow and Leung have never worked together in a full-length film since becoming famous. Chow’s rare statement has sparked excitement among fans and opened up endless possibilities for the future collaborations between the two esteemed actors.

Apart from setting up a potential new film project, Carina Lau also transformed into the character “Bao Qing Tian” on the spot, seeking the return of a mysterious reel that had disappeared for decades on Leung’s behalf.

Leung once revealed that his first “director” in life was actually Stephen Chow. In their teens, they ventured into the mountains to shoot an 8mm martial arts short film, with Chow playing Bruce Lee and coercing Leung into portraying a villain who meets a tragic end. Leung had repeatedly asked Chow for the footage over the years, but Chow always feigned ignorance.

When confronted by Carina Lau on the show, Chow jokingly stated, “I clearly won in that film. Now that the footage is missing, who among you secretly hid it?” Masterfully employing a Tai Chi move, he playfully shifted the suspicion back to Leung, leaving the audience in stitches.
