The 9th “World Chinese Traditional Martial Arts Competition” organized by NTD Television went through a full day of preliminary matches on August 13, with 60 contestants standing out and advancing to the semi-finals on August 14. The upcoming finals and award ceremony on August 15 will be open to the public.
To allow traditional martial arts enthusiasts to witness this grand event, NTD Television and Epoch Times will jointly broadcast the competition live on TV and online.
This tournament brings together 75 contestants from 8 countries in Asia, North America, and Europe, showcasing practitioners of traditional martial arts of different ages, races, and regions. The competition features various Chinese traditional boxing styles such as Eight Methods Fist, Lotus Fist, Xingyi Quan, Tumbling Fist, and Seven Star Chain Fist, as well as traditional weapons like sabers, swords, whips, four-door knives, Qimen swords, and Wudang Seven Star Sword.
The competitors not only demonstrate exquisite martial arts skills but also embody the martial ethics and cultural heritage contained in Chinese traditional martial arts.
During the finals, spectators will witness high-level traditional martial arts performances, appreciate the charm of authentic Chinese traditional martial arts, and experience its profound connotation of combining hardness with softness and form with spirit.
