Mainland famous “giant internet celebrity” Xiaoyue dies at the young age of 26

On October 11th, in the early hours of the morning, the 2.2-meter-tall “giant internet celebrity,” Xiaoyue, passed away at home due to illness at the young age of 26.

Xiaoyue’s boyfriend, Zihao, announced the sad news on social media on the 11th, stating that Xiaoyue had passed away early that morning after unsuccessful medical treatment. In accordance with her and her family’s wishes, the funeral arrangements will be kept simple, without holding a memorial service. Zihao also shared a death certificate issued by the community, which confirmed that Yang Moyue, a resident of Dōngxìng District, Nèijiāng City, had passed away at home on October 11th, with her family handling the related matters after her death.

Upon confirmation of the news, the comment section of the account was flooded with posts mourning Xiaoyue’s passing, with netizens expressing their shock and disbelief. Comments such as “Oh my, how sudden, I just saw her dancing in a video the other day,” and “She was so young, how could her blood sugar be so high,” were prevalent among the outpouring of condolences.

Xiaoyue, whose real name is Yang Moyue, stood at 2.2 meters tall, while her boyfriend Zihao is 1.68 meters tall. The couple had been together for 4 years and jointly operated a social media account to document their lives. Their significant height difference of over 50 centimeters made this couple popular on the internet. In October 2025, Xiaoyue announced the birth of a healthy baby, becoming a mother.

In July of this year, Zihao posted a video revealing that Xiaoyue had been diagnosed with pituitary and meningeal tumors, accompanied by severe complications such as high blood sugar and kidney failure. After August 18th, Xiaoyue’s account remained inactive.

Sadly, from the public disclosure of her illness in July to her passing on October 11th, only about 3 months had passed.

Zihao disclosed to “Red Star News” that doctors had previously mentioned that the disease could be treated by removing the brain tumor through minimally invasive surgery, with the condition that her blood sugar had to be controlled within a safe range. To that end, he had deliberately taken Xiaoyue back to the countryside to recuperate, planning to proceed with the surgery once her blood sugar stabilized, never expecting her sudden departure.

A merchant in Sichuan who knew Xiaoyue and Zihao told “Extreme News” that she was aware of Xiaoyue’s illness, but not of the severity of it. She had even invited the couple to visit Sichuan, not anticipating Xiaoyue’s sudden passing.

Public records show that acromegaly is an extremely rare endocrine disorder. It is usually caused by excessive secretion of growth hormone (GH) by the pituitary gland. In the early stages, the disease manifests as general enlargement of the body’s bones and organs, along with overactive pituitary anterior lobe function. In the later stages, patients experience continued physical decline and may develop secondary pituitary anterior lobe hypofunction.
