On August 21, an explosion occurred in a standalone house compound in Wangqiao Community, Yihexinqu, Linyi City, Shandong Province, generating a powerful shockwave that severely damaged nearby residential buildings. The official report suggested that the explosion was possibly triggered by a tenant, Wang, unlawfully storing fishing explosives in the house.
