Shooting Incident at Chinese Supermarket in Houston’s Chinatown Leaves Two in Critical Condition.

On Friday evening, a shooting incident occurred at Great Wall Supermarket in Houston’s Chinatown, Texas, leaving two people critically injured. The police are currently investigating the incident.

According to reports from ABC13 and Houston television station KPRC 2’s news website Click2Houston, both a security guard and a customer were shot and are in critical condition.

The Houston Police Department (HPD) stated that just after 8 p.m. on Friday, they received a call about a dispute at the Great Wall Supermarket located at 9800 Bellaire Boulevard. Police officers immediately responded to the scene.

At the scene, a security guard and a man believed to be in his twenties were found with gunshot wounds.

It was revealed by the police that during the incident, the man who was shot was entering the store with his girlfriend and a dog. A security guard informed them that pets were not allowed inside the store due to hygiene regulations. An argument ensued between the two parties, escalating into both the man and the security guard firing shots at each other. Both were then taken to the hospital. The man’s girlfriend and the dog were unharmed in the shooting incident. The woman remained at the scene and cooperated with the police during questioning.

After the incident, the Houston Police Department posted on social media platform X that officers from the West District had arrived at 9800 Bellaire Boulevard. Two adult males had been taken to the hospital with critical injuries. Currently, there are no suspects at large, and there is no threat to public safety.
