Today’s focus: Surrendering passports, dividing citizens into second-class! From the household registration system to new regulations on entry and exit, why does the CCP always tightly grasp at you?
In this episode, we invited veteran media personality Mr. Li Su to delve into the CCP’s latest “Regulations on Entry and Exit Administration” and its authoritarian control over citizens’ freedoms. Li Su pointed out that the new regulations will decentralize the approval authority for exiting the country to 33 provincial-level administrative regions, and add clauses specifically targeting technology and personnel involved in confidential matters. It even allows for not informing border control in advance under the pretext of “national security,” leaving many people unaware that they cannot leave the country until they reach the airport.
At the same time, bans lasting from 6 months to 3 years could potentially invalidate green cards or permanent residency rights for overseas Chinese due to the inability to meet residency requirements. Looking back from the era of road control during the Yan’an period, to the household registration system that divided people into second-class structures after the founding of the People’s Republic, to the current practice of surrendering passports and forcing the restoration of nationality (as in the case of Gui Minh Hai), the CCP’s essence of depriving freedom of migration and residence remains unchanged. The implementation of the new regulations once again demonstrates its deep-seated intention of all-encompassing control over individuals and extending jurisdiction.
