On the morning of April 22nd, a random stabbing incident occurred at Zhongyuan Leisure Square in Boluo County, Huizhou City, Guangdong. According to local residents, a man armed with a knife stabbed five people, resulting in one fatality and four serious injuries.
Local Epoch Times reporters confirmed the authenticity of the incident through interviews with residents. The authorities have sealed off information, and no relevant news can be found online, only discussions in the comment sections.
A local female student, Xiao Yan (pseudonym), said that the incident occurred around 9 a.m. She mentioned that her classmate’s sister, who was passing by the square on her way to work, witnessed the scene.
Xiao Yan stated, “The attacker stabbed four to five people, and one or two individuals died. The assailant then fled on a motorcycle.”
An informant who spoke to overseas sources also reported that a man had stabbed five people, resulting in one death and four serious injuries. It is still unknown whether the injured individuals have been successfully treated. After committing the crime, the perpetrator brazenly rode off on a motorcycle. Their current status remains undisclosed, as the local authorities in Boluo County swiftly sealed off the crime scene and promptly removed any videos captured by the public.
Another local student, Fang Yong (pseudonym), confirmed to Epoch Times reporters that the incident indeed took place. One of his classmates lives near the site of the incident, but due to conflicting reports on whether the assailant was caught, it remains uncertain. His classmate is now too afraid to leave the house.
One netizen claimed, “The attacker killed an elderly person, two women, and a man, with some victims suffering severed limbs.”
In a chat screenshot, a user wrote, “There was just a stabbing incident at the leisure park. (The attacker is) of average build, 175-180 cm tall, wearing a black short-sleeved T-shirt, and carrying a black eco-friendly cloth bag (with the knife inside). Be cautious if you see someone resembling this description! He attacked several people at the leisure park, then immediately fled on a motorcycle after the assault.”
Video footage showed a man lying motionless on the ground, while an elderly woman with a neck wound was still bleeding, convulsing on the ground before sitting up and subsequently collapsing again.
Currently, the roads around the scene have been blocked off by the police.
As for the motive behind the attacker’s actions, Xiao Yan stated, “It seems like he lost money gambling and was emotionally unstable.”
Fang Yong added, “Some say it was due to losing at cards, while others claim it was for different reasons. It’s definitely someone with a bad mindset and temper, prone to extreme actions.”
According to Fang Yong, a few days prior, there was another stabbing incident in front of the Ditu Hotel in Boluo County, where the perpetrator has been apprehended. The assailant, a resident of Shiguling, had recently been released from prison and sought revenge on society, allegedly attacking four people. Searching on Douyin, Epoch Times reporters found search queries related to the “Boluo Ditu Hotel stabbing incident” and the “reason behind the stabbing at Boluo Ditu Hotel,” but no relevant video content could be located.
