In a recent incident in Baqiao, Weinan District, Shaanxi Province, a tragedy occurred outside a hot pot restaurant. A man was stabbed in the leg by someone else, leading to an artery injury and ultimately causing fatal blood loss.
On May 8th, surveillance video circulated online revealed that on the evening of the 7th, outside a hot pot restaurant in a residential area in Baqiao, Weinan District, diners were enjoying their meal when a group of people surrounded a man in white clothing. Suddenly, a man in black clothes appeared to be holding a knife and stabbed the man in white in the leg, causing him to bleed profusely and collapse on the ground. The assailant then fled the scene.
Reported by “Extreme News,” the incident took place near a skewer restaurant outside the Jiuhuayuan community along Xinjian Road in Weinan District. The man in white clothing was suspected to have been stabbed in a major artery, leading to his unsuccessful rescue and subsequent death.
According to reports, on the evening of the 8th, local authorities revealed that during the incident, a 37-year-old suspect named Ma had a verbal altercation with a person named Li. Ma used a small knife disguised as a motorcycle key to stab Li in the left thigh, injuring an artery and causing him to bleed to death. Ma has been arrested.
A shop owner mentioned that the incident occurred more than 50 meters away from their establishment, and they witnessed the man in white clothing falling to the ground.
Officials from the Baqiao District Committee Internet Information Office confirmed that the male victim of the stabbing tragically passed away despite rescue efforts being made.
The “Huashang Daily” also reported that the hospital disclosed that the victim did not survive the injuries.
