Shanghai human rights activist Song Jiahong, a victim of the Chinese Communist Party’s black jails, recently released a list titled “Shanghai Black Jails Directory”, exposing the current dire human rights situation in the international metropolis of Shanghai.
Song Jiahong stated, “The appearance of black jails is fundamentally a regression of our society, affecting every citizen and bringing sorrow to the entire city of Shanghai! I hope that friends who have been persecuted in black jails will come together to expose the black jails in Shanghai, contributing to themselves and society.”
The Shanghai Black Jails Directory (Part Five) includes 15 privately operated detention facilities of the Shanghai government for detainees, totaling 106 black jails compiled by Song Jiahong based on information disclosed by detainees online. The following is the list of black jails in various districts of Shanghai:
Chongming District:
1. “Yingjie Inn”, No. 276 Xianjin Village, Changxing Town, Changxing Island. Detainee Ding Shuiping, female, 58 years old, imprisoned for 43 days. Responsible unit: Beicai Town Government, Pudong New Area.
2. “Houniao Resort”, No. 888 Qianyu Road, Chenjia Town. Detainees Hu Ruihai (male, 75 years old) and Lou Jiamei (female, 74 years old) imprisoned for 10 days. Responsible unit: Shanghai State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission.
3. “Hai Shang Flower Island Banquet Center”, Qianwei Village. Detainee Wang Erde imprisoned for 12 days. Responsible unit: Jiangning Subdistrict, Jing’an District.
4. “Yingzhou Xiaoyuan”, No. 356 Yongsheng Village, Hengsha Island. Detainee Chen Huiying, female, 63 years old, imprisoned for 90 days. Responsible unit: Bansongyuan Road Subdistrict, Huangpu District.
5. “Shanghai Yunsong Farmhouse”, No. 434 Xinglong Village, Hengsha Island. Detainee Chen Huiying, female, 63 years old, imprisoned for 10 days. Responsible unit: Bansongyuan Road Subdistrict, Huangpu District.
6. “Maojiazhai Farmhouse”, No. 203 Yongxin South Road, Yongxi Village, Zhongxing Town. Detainee Wang Haifeng, female, 60 years old, imprisoned for 45 days. Responsible unit: Yangpu District Government.
Hongkou District:
1. “Haiyou Hotel”, No. 71 Helen Road. Detainee Wu Shihao, male, 83 years old, imprisoned for 73 days. Responsible unit: Hongkou District Government.
2. “Jiaming Inn”, No. 507 Liyang Road. Detainee Wu Shihao, male, 83 years old, imprisoned for 41 days. Responsible unit: Hongkou District Government.
3. “Jiaxing Street Office”, No. 868 Tianbao Road. Detainees Cui Qun (female, 54 years old) and Cui Hong (female, 55 years old) imprisoned for 3 days. Responsible units: Jiaxing Street in Hongkou District and Petition Office in Baoshan District Government.
4. “Haiyou Hotel”, No. 71 Helen Road. Detainee Cui Qun, female, 54 years old, imprisoned for 8 days. Responsible unit: Jiaxing Street, Hongkou District.
Fengxian District:
1. “751 Test Base”, No. 9900 Puxing Road. Detainee Cui Qun imprisoned for 43 days. Responsible unit: Jiaxing Street, Hongkou District.
2. “Jinhaian Resort”, No. 9 Minle Road. Detainee Chen Huiying, female, 64 years old, imprisoned for 12 days. Responsible unit: Bansongyuan Road Subdistrict, Huangpu District Government.
Songjiang District:
1. “Tomato Farm”, No. 1600 Yexin Branch Road. Detainee Wang Lanying, female, 76 years old, imprisoned for 14 days. Responsible unit: Jiuting Town Government, Songjiang District.
2. “Super 8 Hotel”, No. 128 Central Road, Jiuting Town. Detainee Wang Lanying, female, 76 years old, imprisoned for 79 days. Responsible unit: Jiuting Town Government, Songjiang District.
Yangpu District:
“Shanghai Pattaya Holiday Hotel”, No. 311 Zhayin Road. Detainee Cui Qun imprisoned for 81 days. Responsible unit: Jiaxing Street, Hongkou District.
