Parents Reaffirm Vows, Son’s Performance Goes Viral, Now Releases First Song

Do you remember the 12-year-old boy who went viral last year for tearfully singing during his parents’ vow renewal? Recently, he has achieved a new milestone.

In March 2023, Aiden Armstrong from Port St. Lucie, Florida, deeply touched millions of people worldwide when he sang with emotion at his parents’ vow renewal ceremony. He has now released his first song titled “I Am Fine” on major streaming platforms like YouTube Music and Spotify.

Aiden has a natural talent for music and singing, with a beautiful voice, despite never having received formal music training. However, he managed to move millions with his heartfelt singing, leading his parents to decide to provide him with professional training to master various music skills and continue inspiring others to bravely pursue their dreams.

His mother, Kemorene Mills Armstrong, shared with Epoch Times that Aiden is currently undergoing vocal training and basic music courses, and his passion for music is “growing stronger.”

Aiden started creating his first song in February this year. Initially, he struggled to come up with a catchy title and even considered giving up on the creation process. However, with his mother’s encouragement, he persevered.

Later on, Kemorene said, “That evening, he let me listen to him singing this song, but it felt different from before.”

Both mother and son knew the significance of the song, leading Aiden to continue refining it, constantly improving chord progressions and lyrics.

“It took Aiden about four weeks to finalize this song,” his mother said. “We accompanied him throughout the process, supporting him because he would ask us for opinions on word choices, involving us in it.”

At 13 years old now, Aiden shared that he felt “nervous” when singing at his parents’ vow renewal ceremony last year. It was his first time singing in front of an audience, and he was initially extremely anxious.

“I didn’t want to mess things up, so I gave it my all, and it turned out successful,” Aiden said in a previous interview. “I tried to gather my courage. I knew I couldn’t keep crying all the time; I had to overcome the nervousness and sing well.”

Over the past year, his love for singing and music has only grown stronger.

Proudly, his mother noted that despite encountering challenges while creating his first song at a young age, he overcame all difficulties with “firm belief and an unwavering spirit.”

Aiden’s debut original song “I Am Fine” has received positive feedback on social media, with music enthusiasts dubbing him as “a rising star” and adding his song to their playlists.
