Train Collisions in Heilongjiang and Henan Cause 7 Deaths and 3 Injuries

Recently, there have been two separate train accidents in mainland China which resulted in a total of 7 fatalities. Among them, the accident on the Suijia Line in Heilongjiang province claimed the lives of 6 individuals.

On June 4th, the official Weibo account of the Jiamusi Railway Section in Heilongjiang province announced that at 1:55 am on the same day, a freight train numbered 42109 collided with construction workers on the Suijia Line between Tangyuan and Wangjiang in the downlink section.

At the scene, 2 people were killed, 4 were injured, and 4 of the injured individuals later succumbed to their injuries after rescue efforts proved unsuccessful.

On the 3rd of June, news circulated online about an accident in Yuanyi District, Luohe City, Henan province, involving a collision between a sedan and a train.

According to a report by “Red Star News”, authorities in Luohe City disclosed that the incident occurred in the Yuanyi District of the city. At 3 am on the 3rd, a private car collided with a train, carrying a total of 4 individuals in the car.

On the 4th of June, the official announcement from the Yuanyi District of Luohe City stated that a sedan carrying 4 people was traveling near the intersection of Luohe Dance Railway and collided with the rear section of a freight train on the Luohe Dance Line. The driver succumbed to his injuries despite rescue efforts, while the other three passengers sustained injuries but were not in life-threatening condition.
