In a breaking news alert on Friday, May 15, detectives from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) carried out a raid on a commercial warehouse in downtown Los Angeles. They uncovered counterfeit luxury goods worth an estimated 5 to 10 million dollars and arrested two Asian suspects.
The police indicated that the operation was primarily aimed at combating the sale of counterfeit goods. In the early morning hours, detectives from the Major Crimes Bureau of the LA County Sheriff’s Department executed search warrants at two warehouses on South Los Angeles Street and Main Street, where they found a large quantity of counterfeit luxury items stacked inside.
After conducting a thorough inspection of the warehouses, the authorities preliminarily estimated that the seized counterfeit goods were valued between 5 to 10 million dollars. The haul included various designer handbags, Hello Kitty toys, branded sports bags, clothing, and other items.
Furthermore, the police arrested a male and a female Asian adult suspect on the spot. As the case unfolds, law enforcement does not rule out the possibility of more individuals being apprehended or prosecuted.
