Recently, a double murder case occurred at a well-known university in Thailand. A 30-year-old male student of Chinese nationality was suspected to have killed his 21-year-old Thai girlfriend after a heated argument, before jumping to his death from a building.
According to reports from media outlets like Red Star News, Thai police received a report at 1:35 am on the 5th, stating that a man had fallen to his death in an apartment near a prominent university in Pathum Thani Province. When the police arrived at the scene, they found the man with visible slashes on both wrists and severe facial deformation, indicating that he had died on the spot.
After a few hours of investigation, the police focused on the room where the man who fell from the building was staying. Upon breaking into the room, they found signs of a struggle inside, and in the bathroom, there was a naked female corpse with over thirty knife wounds on her body.
It was confirmed that the two individuals were classmates at the same university and were in a romantic relationship. The man, identified as Dan (a transliteration), was a 30-year-old Chinese international student who had been renting the room since June 2025. The woman was a 21-year-old Thai student named Natnicha.
Investigators revealed that there were suspected English writings in blood on the walls of the apartment and the bathroom, stating, “I have to go… I really tried my best. Understanding is more important than money…”
A Chinese student living on the same floor reported hearing intense arguments between the deceased man and his girlfriend over the phone in the weeks leading up to the incident.
Authorities preliminarily deduced that after a heated argument, Dan allegedly killed the woman with a knife, attempted self-harm, and ultimately left a message on the wall before jumping from the balcony on the 8th floor to end his life.
Currently, the bodies of the two victims have been taken to the Forensic Medicine Research Institute at Thammasat University in Thailand for autopsy. The police will further investigate the truth and motivation behind the incident by interviewing relevant witnesses.
