Five Dead in Fujian as Private Car Plunges Off Bridge at Night, Fast-flowing River Below

According to the report from CCTV News, on the night of the 6th, in Xinqiao Town, Changting County, Longyan City, Fujian Province, a small car fell into the river, leading to the death of five individuals.

Reported by “Jinan Daily” under the “New Yellow River” division, after verification from multiple sources, it was found that the accident took place on Tingning Bridge in the southwest corner of Xinqiao Town, Changting County. The river flowing beneath the bridge is the Ting River.

Video footage from the scene shows a small car plunging into the river, with the swift current. The car was lifted out of the water by a crane and brought ashore, with severe damage to the front of the vehicle. Tingning Bridge is a multi-arch bridge with a walkway, and the guardrail on one side was damaged due to the collision.

Currently, the accident site has been sealed off for investigation.
