The flight took off from Osaka Kansai Airport T1 at 4:53 local time on the 20th (3:53 Beijing time) and arrived at Shanghai Pudong Airport T2 at 6 a.m. Beijing time.
On November 20th, JiMu News reported that originally, the aircraft operating the November 19th flight HO1338 was a Boeing 787-9 wide-body aircraft. After the malfunction, another plane of the same model took off from Shanghai Pudong Airport at 00:38 Beijing time on the 20th, arriving in Osaka Kansai Airport after one hour and 35 minutes to bring the passengers of Flight HO1338 back to Shanghai.
On the morning of the 20th, Joy Airline customer service responded that Flight HO1338 was indeed delayed and arrived at Shanghai Pudong in the early morning of the 20th at around 6 a.m. The information indicated that the reason for the flight delay was a mechanical issue.
