On May 18, 2024, Taeyong, a member of the popular South Korean boy group NCT who enlisted in the Navy in April, shared photos of his completion of military training on both the official NCT Instagram account and his personal Instagram account on the 17th. He also wrote a message to greet his fans alongside the images.
In the photos released on the NCT official Instagram account, Taeyong can be seen wearing a navy sailor suit and saluting, as well as delivering a speech at the completion ceremony.
In his post, he wrote: “Hello, NCTzens! I want to let you know that Private Taeyong of the 702nd class has completed his training! Hoo-rah! How is everyone doing? I am starting from here. I want to let you know that I am healthy and doing well. I will become a healthy and strong man. See you later. Hoo-rah!”
Furthermore, on his personal Instagram account, he shared a photo of him embracing his family and a group photo with his peers, captioning it simply with “702 NAVY.”
Taeyong enlisted on April 15 and completed his basic military training. He will serve in the Navy and is expected to be discharged on December 14, 2025.
