Harbin residential building in a community caught fire, whole building shrouded in black smoke.

On the afternoon of October 25, a residential building in Nangang District, Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province, caught fire, resulting in at least 2 deaths and 4 injuries.

A viral video shows flames shooting up, thick black smoke billowing, engulfing the entire building. The fire spread to parked vehicles below, with crackling sounds resembling firecrackers echoing in the air.

According to Ms. Tan, a resident nearby, she was at home caring for her child when she suddenly noticed the building across from hers on fire, with the flames rapidly spreading.

A local shop owner told Jixumu News that he was asleep at home before the incident. He was awakened by smoke seeping in and had to flee without even putting on proper clothes.
